About The Artist 
Gaia explores conscious and transformational art themes that manifest in symbolic and archetypal images in her artwork. These images arise from her quest to understand life and her interest in ancient and sacred art.
With her creativity she has found her way of sharing with the world and connecting deeply with people.
Focusing on living a simple and healthy life allows Gaia the time and space to be sensitive and express the inspiration that arises.
Gaia originally hails from Paris, France, where she studied and graduated with honour as an architect from Ecole des Beaux Arts in 1997. She is also an entrepreneur: founder and former co-owner of Sprouts For Life (a certified organic sprout business) as well as co-owner of The Funky Clothesline (a successful line of hand-dyed and painted clothing). Gaia, along with her husband and three children, reside north of Toronto (Ontario, Canada) by a river in the bush!
Gaia Orion original paintings are represented by the Andrea Smith Gallery in Sedona, Arizona, U.S.A. Her prints, cards, and/or jewelry with her images, are being sold in 70 stores, galleries and museums in Canada, United States and France.
Gaia has had her artwork featured in 18 different publications in Canada, USA, France, UK, Taiwan and China, with 9 cover pages and numerous articles and interviews. She is also the illustrator for the Reiki News and New Moon Girls magazines in U.S.A, Rêves de Femmes publication in France and a contributor for We’Moon date book and calendar which is published worldwide.
Gaia was recently selected to be part of the Galaktic Card Project created by Delvin Solkinson - manager editor of Alex Grey Cosm publication. This project regroups 144 visionary artists from all around the globe in a deck of collector’s cards celebrating the spirit of the world inspired imagination.
Gaia is also working in collaboration with Alter Eco and Gandhi International in the making of the book “Un Nouveau Monde En Marche”. She created a painting for the book and will be one of the participants with 25 other main personalities of French politics, economy, ecology, philosophy and arts.

Painting in her Home Studio
When Gaia started painting in 2005 original paintings were done first with watercolours and gouache with then a quick exploration in acrylic on large canvas. Gaia is now just happy using oils on canvas!
Jewelry Handmade by the Artist
With the art medallion jewelry a wearable piece of art is created . The images are applied onto brass, silver medallions and semi precious stones. A thick coat of resin seals the transfer. With these ”art medallions” she creates necklaces, earrings and bracelets.
Gaia views the process in creating the art medallion jewelry as a work of art in itself.
